Jack the Giant Slayer is an entertaining tale that successfully balances the straightforward but imaginative storytelling of its source material with big-screen action and CGI effects. In spite of flat characters, a predictable story, and some awkward visuals, the movie is surprisingly entertaining - thanks to a hefty dose of well-timed humor
